Shopping Guide To Italy
For Bargain Lovers
|
Logan Bentley is an American journalist who has lived, worked, and shopped in Italy for several years. Apart from being the italian editor of the "Courvoisier Book of the Best", is also a contributor to the Italian section of "Born to Shop," and revised the Rome section of "Where to Wear - Italy - 2004". She has also written several articles about shopping and lifestyle for many newspapers and magazines. This web guide was realized with the help of her daughter Barbara, expert personal shopper in Rome.
We do our best in keeping the pages up-to-date but we recommend you to always check first before any trip to Italy. January and July are the sales seasons, but they have no fixed dates: it is the city council in each locality that announces the start of the bargain weeks. It can also happen to find some items discounted also outside of the sales season.
If you live outside the European Common market, with any purchases you will make, you are entitled to the "Detaxe": a refund of the sales tax you paid.
Feel free to share with us any suggestions or ideas you might have concerning your "finds" as well as your positive or negative experiences.
